Trent Heneker
Trent Heneker was born with only one 'n' in his surname, which everyone has tried to correct since. Despite - or perhaps because of - this consonant deficit, he took to shoeboxes with a vengeance and a pair of chopsticks almost as soon as he could sit up. This scored him his first drumkit - a '69 Pearl Jazz 4-piece - at the age of 8. A couple of years' tuition, four years' percussion tuition later in life, an interest in jazz-funk-fusion and the Eagles (figure that mix out) ultimately led him to the Bald Eagles. Now the man at the back of the men in front and to the side, Trent's innate sense of rhythm, timing and dramatic effect (together with youthful good looks and more than handy trained voice) make one wonder why he didn't take up a musical instrument. But it's all to the very good of the band who need all the anchors they can get as they charge down Memory Lane with the Eagles' songs blaring. Trent also plays with band Colonel Mustard, which plays in the Barossa Valley and surrounding area. He still sports the '59 Pearl Deluxe 4 piece Jazz, which shares outings with a Pearl Export 6-piece kit AKA 'The Purple Warrior'.
