The Band
Thirty years since the formation of their first band (the near legendary, slightly-peppier-than-folk "Cockatoo Lake") three older, balder and not necessarily wiser blokes decided to get their chops back together in an Eagles cover band. These old baldies - Colin Koch, Dave McArthur and Alan Rosewarne - are back in harness (notwithstanding the decrepitude and various debilitating illnesses and bodily malfunctions that beset them) and are joined by three highly talented, much younger musicians - Bob Armitage, Russ McCormick and Trent Heneker.
Together they offer six-part harmonies and the whole gamut of the Eagles sound, from sweet to swing, from reflective to raunchy, from all the classics to highlights from the newest double album. If you can't have the original along to your event, then this is indeed, the very best second best.
